wonkaEnter a world of pure imagination: Wonka cast set to take the stage ––Fans of Roald Dahl’s novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, most vividly remember the mysterious character of Wonka, a reclusive candy business owner who re-opens the factory to several lucky children who get to see and taste whangdoodle creations.

To children who often long for the sweet taste of candy, the idea of visiting a factory like Wonka’s is the stuff of dreams. After all, every child fantasizes about a shopping spree in a candy store. Right?

On the surface, it would seem that the moral of the 2017 Middle School play, Willy Wonka, Jr., (words and music by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley), are that good children receive rewards and bad children face the consequences. Roald Dahl’s original story is a condemnation of many things including bad parenting, gum-chewing, overeating and greediness.

We are happy to admit you to the Factory to see Willy Wonka, Jr at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 23 or at a Pre-K–5 showing at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb 24 or Monday, Feb 27 at 2:05 p.m.  for a final viewing for Grades 6–8. Join the Wonka Company and enjoy a scrumdiddlyumptious treat!
