Dear Middle School Families,
We made it to vacation day! These last several weeks have been jammed with activity in the Middle School and they’ve flown by. The kids and staff deserve a good break before the final months of the year. I hope you all are able to enjoy time together over the vacation.
Yesterday, our Grade 8 students had a wonderful day at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, where they debated the immigration bill and voted as senators from across the country. It was an amazing experience to see the kids in action and to view exhibits of history of the Senate and of Senator Kennedy (a Milton grad!). Our students were excellent representatives of Milton, too!
Thank you to Grade 8 Science teacher Tom Troy for writing this week’s Faculty Voice column. Tom aptly summarizes what so many of us enjoy about working with our Middle School students. His column can’t help but remind me how lucky we all are to be at Milton.
In addition to Tom’s article, this week’s Middle School Newsletter includes details about the week we return from spring break.
All the best,
Will
