Over the past several weeks, faculty, staff and students from the Lower School, the Director of Business Services, the CFOO, and FLIK dining services have been working together to identify ways to enhance the Lower School dining experience.
Based on those discussions (including feedback from our Grade 5 Ambassadors!) we identified two areas of focus:
- menus featuring more kid-friendly healthy foods
- a dining/serving area that encourages a more hands-on experience
On Monday, May 16, we will begin a pilot two-week program to test the ideas we generated. The pilot includes a re-thought menu as well as observation and post-pilot feedback mechanism for students, parents and faculty/staff. Over the summer, we will assess what changes will be made on a permanent basis, including other aspects of the experience that will take more time to execute.
